Daily Prayer

In addition to the Sunday services, there is a short time of Bible reading and reflective prayer through the week Monday-Friday, 8am-8:30am.  From April to September this takes place at St. Lawrence's, and from October to March it takes place at St. Hilda's. There are usually 2-5 people participating.  Most Wednesdays we celebrate Holy Communion together, and will usually mark significant other Christian festivals with Holy Communion.

If you are unable to join us in person, the form of prayers we use can be accessed via the links below for your personal use.  The practice and discipline of daily prayer and Bible study, alone or with a small group of prayer partners, can over time become deeply formative and spiritually rewarding.

On Sunday evenings at 8pm at St. Lawrence's about twenty people gather for fellowship, worship, and cafe-style candlelit discussion, followed by a time of quiet formal prayer, using an abbreviated form of the Night Prayer service found via the link below.

We usually follow the Diocese of York prayer calendar, praying for the ministry of the diocese, its people and clergy, and the Church throughout the world.  A link may be found HERE.

If you would like us to hold someone, or a particular situation, in our daily prayers, do please email your prayer request to prayer@yorklandh.org
