Olive Wordsworth: Reader

Olive was one of the first women Readers in the Diocese of York, and has served in Hull, Sowerby, and York.  Olive usually leads the 11am Together to Worship service at St. Hilda's and helps to lead the other 11am services through the month.  She and her husband Paul (see below) also take many of the 6pm services at St. Hilda's.  Olive is the Rota Queen, keeping us all on track.  She is very involved in the Wednesday morning Toddler Time Play & Praise at St. Hilda's, and helps lead the 60+ club.

Paul Wordsworth: associate priest

Paul was ordained in 1966, and has served parishes in York, Hull and Sowerby, as well as serving in a variety of mission posts, including Archbishop's Officer for Mission and Evangelism, and chaplain to the homeless in York.  Paul usually leads the 11am Parish Eucharist at St. Hilda's, and with wife Olive (see above) takes many of the 6pm services at St. Hilda's.  Paul co-ordinates York City of Sanctuary, a charity seeking to help those who come to York as a place of safety.
